Painting is not dead. For some it is alive and a way to live. Sari Piek paints people, not necessarily real ones, but sometimes made up ones. It is mainly their faces that she paints, very colorful, based on what she sees on the street, pictures, memories and ideas and even ‘old’ masters. Next to paintings Sari Piek makes drawings, watercolors and photographs.
