Calligraphic Wig
October 25—March 21, 2026
Created by Berlin-based Romanian artist Daniel Knorr, the installation transforms the forms that emerge from the production and transformation processes of plastic into a poetic artistic language, confronting viewers with the material’s potential.
Born from Knorr’s time spent in plastic recycling factories in Hong Kong, “Calligraphic Wig” elevates the accidental forms produced when machines malfunction into the subjects of art. These spontaneous plastic structures resemble the letters of an unknown alphabet, deep-sea creatures, or organic formations from other planets.
